Greetings! I'm Eric Iwan, an American immersed in the vibrant tech scene of Japan, keen on advancing my career as a developer. By day,
I'm an assistant language teacher, but my true passion lies in crafting innovative solutions through coding. During my off-hours, I delve
into diverse projects—collaborative and solo—primarily focusing on JavaScript for websites and applications, complemented by a dash of Python expertise.
While proficient in front-end development, my heart lies in the intricacies of back-end, leveraging technologies such as Node.js,
React, Express, MySQL, and MongoDB. I derive immense satisfaction from creating applications that simplify people's lives. Embracing challenges
fuels my excitement, propelling me to swiftly embrace new technologies and libraries. Despite my relatively brief journey, I'm recognized for my
rapid learning curve. I'm eager to connect, collaborate, and contribute to meaningful projects. Let's build a professional relationship together!
(Minimum Viable Product)
For the longest time I have wanted to make a budgeting application as I enjoy working with excel and finances.
Here I utilized React and hooked it up to MongoDB to save my information when I close the application.
Features:
-Data continually saved to MongoDB. No need to keep clicking "save"!
-Ability to save an "auto transaction". These will automatically be applied on the day specified.
-Auto refresh ability. The budget and savings will "refresh" at the start of a new month. No need to manually
input and refresh your budget!

This is a simple photo sharing website I put together
originally to let my family share personal photos with one another. My family is very spread out so I thought
this would be convenient. I use Google APIs to connect to a personal Google Drive that stores the photos. Users
can upload, delete, and preview photos from the Google Drive through the website.

A simple, mobile-focused, grocery list app I made for my wife and I. It can create user accounts
(using MongoDB) so that every user can have a unique shopping list.

私が私と妻のために作った、シンプルでモバイルにフォーカスした買い物リストアプリです。MongoDBを使用して
ユーザーアカウントを作成することができます。これにより、すべてのユーザーが独自のショッピングリストを持つことができます。

Statistical Data Graph (WaniKani)
This is a simple graph webapp I made with D3 to connect to a online language program, use the websites API to fetch statistical data,
and display it in an easy to read manner. It was fun reading the APIs documentation and learning the ropes of their system while also
sorting the data out on my end. There is a "login" system where you input your API token. If you would like to see mine go to this
url!

(UNDER CONSTRUCTION!) A task ticketing web application being built by a team of 3 including myself. We (my group) hope
to use this when we pursue future projects together. We are using a template website (unrelated to ticketing) and heavily
editing to fit our needs. I and another did the back-end but we dabbled in all areas where needed.

This is my portfolio webpage. This is a link to the Github of the same page you are currently viewing right now.
My passions may not be in purely front-end, however, I enjoyed writing this page up and learned quite a bit. Especially
with JQuery functions. I have a PHP file but it is not being used because Github can only host static
webpages. To send contact forms I am using Formspree and when I host this website elsewhere I will use the PHP.
